Magical skiing experience in Zell am See-Kaprun
For a long time this has been one of the country’s best skiing regions – what is the success formula? Where should we start telling? You have the choice: either you plan an early start of the season and carve down the wide hillsides of the glacier skiing area Kitzsteinhorn, then you find yourself in the breath-taking world of the High Tauern National Park. Or you wedel over the beautiful and well-prepared slopes of the skiing region Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See and enjoy the view into the High Tauern region. You will spot up to 30 three-thousander-peaks at once and Kitzsteinhorn is one of them.

The coolest skiing area in Austria
Over 270 kilometres of ski slopes and over 70 cableways and lifts – and more is in process of planning. This is the basic information of the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn. This giant skiing area is simply awesome and the best is that it is directly at our doorstep. In 2016 the connection between Saalbach Hinterglemm and Fieberbrunn was built and since then the so-called “Home of Lässig” seems to be unstoppable in terms of free-ride possibilities and multi-variant skiing experience. What does more in the “process of planning” mean? 2018 is going to be a ground-breaking year: a lift connection between Schmittenhöhe and the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn is going to be created, which means the start of a new age. This is going to be the largest connected skiing area in Austria and that means it belongs to Europe's providers of winter sport activities with the greatest offer.
Royal skiing pleasure nearby
The Hochkönig Region seems to be a bit more clearly structured. This skiing region is located between Maria Alm, Dienten and Mühlbach am Hochkönig and is part of the association Ski amadé and therefore another part of the winter sports attractions of Salzburger Land. Again, superlatives dominate the ads and information sheets. Snow guarantee, well-prepared slopes, cool free-ride runs, cosy alpine huts and a wonderful Hochkönig panorama distinguish the Hochkönig Region and Co. While carving down the slopes between Maria Alm and Dienten, you constantly have this breath-taking view of Hochkönig. With offering the so-called Königstour this skiing area provides a sporty tour for its visitors, which can hardly be outranked. But before, visit Bigtime Sport and get yourself the best rentable equipment or have a ski tuning done so that you’re ready for the Hochkönig.
