MOUNTAIN BIKE TOURA, SINGLE TRAILS & BIKEPARKS IN THE REGION NEAR BIGTIME SPORT MAISHOFEN
The tour into the direction of Alpincenter on the Kitzsteinhorn is pretty hard, so maybe you choose the tours to the alpine huts Pinzgauer Hütte or Hochsonnberg Alm instead.
There is a great variety of tours and you have the choice. We give you information, tips and maps. Link for download: fahrradkarte-16-web.pdf
Trail action in the glacier world
Finally. For a few years now the glacier Kitzsteinhorn has become a centre for free-ride sports in summer, too. Thanks to a few guys from Kaprun and surroundings, the mountain railways transport bikes in summertime and three super cool single trails were built in the terrain of the Kitzsteinhorn.
The fun starts at the Alpincenter and leads you via the Geißstein trail into the direction of Langwiedboden. There starts the so-called Wüstlau trail and leads you almost endlessly down into the valley. Banked turns, jumps, tables and at the end unendingly sharp bends and curves. If this track seems to be too heavy for you, you can choose the Bachler trail instead.
This track is easier, smoother and with the right flow it leads you to the lake Klammsee and back to the station of the bottom of the mountain railway. There you can start the next round.
